Across Montevideo is a small tour company started in the spring of 2025 by Tristan Fleerkate. Our tours focus on history, art and culture. The concept of Across Montevideo was developed in Spain by Dr. Almudena Cros and her company Across Madrid.
Tristan Fleerkate himself is a qualified history teacher who also has studied Cultural Heritage at the Reinwardt Academy in Amsterdam and graduated in the subject of ´difficult heritage´.
After finishing this study, Tristan moved to Madrid where he worked as a guide for Across Madrid. Enthusiastic about the concept, and with the support of Dr. Cros, he decided to take the concept with him to to his new home in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Tristan writes for several websites about themes such history, politics, sports and poetry.
